This embroidered silk sash is believed to have been worn by Benjamin Franklin to the meetings of the French Masonic lodge of which he was an active member. It was made in Paris and is constructed with Silk, gold thread, gold sequins, gold beads, silver thread, silver sequins, and crystal. It is part of the collection of the Masonic Library and Museum of Pennsylvania and is on display at The Masonic Temple in Philadelphia.
