WHAT IS THE SIGNIFICANCE OF BEING PART OF A “REGULAR” MASONIC LODGE? Freemasonry is, at its core, an initiatory experience. Its primary purpose is to provide in itiation through the ritual, and, through an engaging collective, provide a brother with the needed support to continue his journey into light. It provides a ‘worthy’ candidate with an experience that is meant to be transformative, an experience that opens his psyche to ‘see’ the world in a different way. Initiation into Freemasonry should be a life-altering experience. For Freemasonry to achieve this objective, it must utilize Masonic bodies that are “Ancient, Regular, and Accepted” Grand Lodges recognized worldwide.
